Installation preparations for FAG bearings
1. FAG bearings installation location selection and requirements
The installation site should keep a certain distance from lathes, grinders and other mechanical equipment. The site should be cleaned, kept dry and clean, and iron filings, sand, dust and moisture should be strictly prevented from entering the bearing.
2. Check FAG bearings model and prepare installation tools
Check whether the model and size of the FAG bearing meet the installation requirements, and select the appropriate assembly method according to the structural characteristics of the non-standard bearing and the various parts matched with it, and prepare the installation tools and measuring tools. Common installation tools include hand hammers, copper rods, sleeves, special back plates, snail nets, presses, etc., as well as vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
3. Check the surface of FAG bearing assembly
If there are scratches, rust, abrasion, sand, dust and dirt on the surface of the FAG bearing assembly and its mating parts, a bearing is difficult to install, resulting in a wrong assembly position. Secondly, these accessories will form abrasives, which can easily damage the working surface of non-standard bearings and affect assembly quality.
Therefore, before installation, you should carefully check the mating surface of the journal, the surface of the bearing box hole, the shoulder end surface and the bushing, gasket, end and other connecting parts. If there is a rust layer, you can file it off with a fine file and sand it with a fine emery cloth. At the same time, the accessories on the surface of the bearing assembly and its connecting parts should also be removed.
For IKO bearings with separable inner ring and outer ring, please do not interchange the outer ring, so as not to affect the contact quality. For non-standard bearings, do not remove the rolling elements in the bearing at will, so as not to cause confusion in the installation position and affect accuracy.
